PlacidCode Labs Trainee Program Terms and Conditions  

Welcome to the PlacidCode Labs Trainee Program. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before applying. By submitting your application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Program Overview  

The PlacidCode Labs Trainee Program is a six-month training program designed for individuals without technical experience. The program offers two paths: UI/UX Design, and Software Development. The program is divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1: Learning the fundamentals of the chosen path.

  • Phase 2: Implementing knowledge using frameworks and training on Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Communication.

2. Fees and Payments  

  • Application Fee: $20 / N20,000 (non-refundable). This fee does not guarantee a spot in the program.

  • Phase 1 Fee: N250,000, payable upon acceptance into the program.

3. Participation Requirements  

  • Commitment: Participants must dedicate a minimum of 12 hours per week to the program.

  • Attendance: Participants are required to attend all scheduled meetings and complete weekly assignments.

  • Engagement: Active participation in Slack channel discussions and squad activities is mandatory.

4. Program Structure  

  • Squad Assignment: Participants will be grouped into squads of 20 based on their chosen path. Each squad will have a Squad Leader and supporting Crew members.

  • Welcome Meeting: An introductory session to meet the Squad Leader, Crew, and fellow squad members. Participants will choose a squad name and an artist for their squad theme music.

  • Weekly Schedule: Reading assignments and challenges are posted on Mondays at 9 am. Weekly squad meetings are held on Fridays from 6-8 pm.

5. Evaluation and Progression  

  • Phase 1 Tests: Participants must pass all tests in Phase 1 to progress to Phase 2.

  • Completion: Participants who successfully complete both phases will receive a certificate of completion.

6. Internship Opportunities  

  • Internship Recommendation: A six-month internship is recommended upon completion of the program.

  • Internship Availability: The program does not guarantee an internship. Top-performing trainees will have the first opportunity for any available internships at PlacidCode Labs.

7. Termination and Withdrawal  

  • Voluntary Withdrawal: Participants may withdraw from the program at any time by providing written notice to PlacidCode Labs.

  • Involuntary Termination: PlacidCode Labs reserves the right to terminate a participant’s involvement for non-compliance with program requirements, lack of engagement, or misconduct.

8. Confidentiality  

Participants agree to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information received during the program. This includes, but is not limited to, proprietary software, designs, business strategies, and other confidential information.

9. Liability  

PlacidCode Labs is not liable for any personal injury or loss sustained during the program, except as required by law. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a safe and suitable environment for participation.

10. Code of Conduct  

Participants are expected to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination from the program.

11. Amendments  

PlacidCode Labs reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes via email and through announcements in the program’s Slack channel.

12. Acknowledgement and Acceptance  

By submitting an application to the PlacidCode Labs Trainee Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
